POST /api/v1/quotes with Content-Type: application/json.

Sample mode is public. It returns four actual browser observations from 2026-10-06T02:25:30.344Z, for 5 boards only. Other quantities return no_sample errors, never extrapolated prices. Omit tiers in sample mode because historical service-tier mappings are unverified.

Live mode needs Authorization: Bearer YOUR_PILOT_ACCESS_CODE. The access code is issued privately by the operator; never submit a MacroFab API key. Live requests call the official MacroFab API for the configured public design. Supported tiers: budget, standard, fast, extreme. Up to four quantities from 1 to 1000 per request. There are no order or payment endpoints.

All money fields ending in Minor are integer USD cents. totalMinor is batch cost; unitMinor is display-rounded and must not be multiplied back to obtain batch totals. manufacturingBusinessDays excludes shipping. Shipping and final taxes are unconfirmed. A quote is not final landed cost.

comparison.bestByQuantity selects the lowest batch price that fits budget and manufacturing-time limits separately for each requested quantity. It never compares different quantities as equivalent purchases. There may be no match. Always surface warnings and per-quantity errors. Do not hide engineering defects, missing parts or manufacturing blockers. engineeringApproved and landedCostFinal remain false.

Preserve mode, source, freshness and observedAt when presenting a result. A historical sample is not a current offer. Live API failure never falls back to sample. Do not automatically retry a timeout, unknown result or rate limit. Check with the operator. No API availability claim implies Google AI Mode integration or supplier partnership.

Three capacitor groups in this quote experiment use unapproved substitutions. Copper-to-edge clearance is 0.41 mil versus the selected 3 mil requirement. Manufacturing needs engineering review.
